Never grilled salmon before. I followed the recipe to a 'T', marinated it for about four hours, grilled it flesh side down first, and then finished skin side down. THIS WAS WONDERFUL!!! EVERYONE loved it...I was really impressed. We grilled it so the skin was almost black, the darker, the crispier. I never thought I'd eat salmon skin...I enjoyed it very much. Marinating it for at least a couple of hours is a must, the marinade permeates the flesh wonderfully. This was SOOOO easy, quick to grill, and fantastic tasting. We will definitely do it again.

Thanks Tinamenina, Quick and easy. My wife loved it. I used a little of the sauce to coat the fry pan which added even more flavor. I'm going to try this on other types of fish fillets.

I never thought I would make good fish, but this turned out superb! I love the taste and how easy this recipe is! I had to cook mine in a frying pan, which I coated lightly in olive oil. I loved how it turned out! This is my favorite recipe for salmon now! Restaurant quality and easy clean-up makes this a 10-star recipe!

I was a little skeptical at first at how I all the flavors would blend. But I enjoyed it very much. It was the first time I made salmon without an additional sauce. Loved it!

OMG...what a hit! My first attempt at grilling salmon and it turned out great - made me look like a culinary super-star with the family. Proportionatly increased the marinade to accomidate 2.5 pounds of fish. Grilled it skin side down only over low for about 15-20 minutes after marinating it overnight. YUM YUM YUM!

EXCELLENT!!! The kids and the hubbie all ate it. My daughter started off saying that smells disgusting to taking 1/2 of a filet to taking the other 1/2 and then finally scooping every bit off of her plate. This is most definitely a keeper.

I added a touch of Sesame oil to the olive oil for a more Asian flavor and rice wine vinegar along with the lemon juice and zest, fresh ginger and crushed garlic. I used Tamari instead of regular soy sauce, less sodium, more flavor. I brought the remaining to a boil, reduced the marinade and used it as a glaze over the finished fillet. Very good but after 7 minutes it was done through; seared, with a nice bark on one side and done through. Next time I'll watch it more carefully. This is almost the same marinade I regularly use for flank steak, minus the brown sugar. I loved it.

Outstanding flavor! The only problem was that the fish completely fell apart on the grill. :-( Next time I will use a grill basket. I did make some changes to the recipe (see following), but I'm sure it's fantastic as written: -1 T. lemon juice and freshly cracked black pepper (in place of lemon pepper seasoning) -NO garlic powder -1/4 cup honey in place of the brown sugar -1/4 cup of olive oil instead of 1/3 cup vegetable oil -marinated for about 12 hours.

My husband caught a king salmon this morning and I marinated the fillets for about 5 hours then grilled it for about 12 minutes, it was awesome! I did use fresh lemon and a little fresh minced ginger in the marinade. My in-laws don't like fish but liked this recipe a lot!

This is a great simple recipe for salmon. I think salmon tastes great on it's own so getting too fancy runs the risk of ruining it. I've got to say, you folks who are wrapping your fish in a little foil pouch, be brave, put it on the grill, directly on the grill, a charcoal grill. If you're going to trap it in foil why bother lighting a grill at all? GRILL it ON the grill, it's so delicious!

4.5 Good flavor and very easy to prepare. Marinated the salmon for about 2 1/2 hours before hubby put them on the grill. Next time, I will add more seasoning to the fish as they are grilling as I think it needed just a touch more. Served with Garlic Rice and asparagus.

This is a super recipe. I fixed a 1.7 pound wild Sockeye Salmon and it was great. I marinated for about 5 hours and cooked the fish skin side down for 7 minutes, flipped and cooked an additional 6 minutes. Served with Basmati rice, Szechuan noodles and a couple of pasta salads. I will use this marinade many times more.

I substituted honey for brown sugar and used lemon juice rather than lemon pepper. I poached in the foil packets (it was too hot outside to fire up the grill.) My hubby thought this was the best marinade EVER!
