I found that this recipe really made the salmon tasty and a bit crispy. I baked the fish in the marinade for 15 minutes covered at 350 in a preheated oven, and then put it in the broiler for five minutes at broil, uncovered w/no marinade. A baking sheet will do, but be sure to spray the pan with Pam (the type of your choice). This fish came out nice and flaky.
Keep in mind that I used "light" brown sugar. It was the only sugar in my house. I suppose if you use regular brown sugar or honey (something I'm contemplating for a shorter trip in the broiler) the outcome might be somewhat different and a bit crispier.
Another nice thing about this recipe is that it is versatile, and allows each user to customize their own experience, by refraining from including measurements for garlic, lemon pepper, and other spices.
It was a great success.
My only suggestion is double the recipe!
