I've always liked pork chops made with apples or onions. I decided to combine both ingredients to create this delicious recipe. Many family members and friends have requested it.

Unsweetened applesauce is fancied up with garlic, onion and jalapeno pepper. The pork chops are dusted with garlic powder before they 're grilled, and when they 're done to perfection, they 're served with the fiery apple salsa.

Center-cut pork chops, stuffed with gouda cheese, parsley, and bacon are excellent grilled or broiled.

Pear slices make a satisfying alternative to apples in this down-home dish sent in by Kathy Stooksbury of Aiken, South Carolina. She dresses up the easy entree even further by adding a hint of brown sugar for sweetness.

I created this recipe because I have found that many pork recipes have little flavor, are too spicy, or just require too much work. My husband and I prefer sweet food rather than spicy or sour, hence a new pork recipe was born. This is delicious when served with rice and green vegetables as side dishes.

This is my favorite pork chop recipe. The rice is both colorful and flavorful, and the chops are so tender that they fall off the bone.

A perfect medley of flavors! The sweetness of the apples and brown sugar are a perfect complement to succulent pork chops.

A wonderful change from the traditional pork chops and applesauce. Boneless pork chops are browned, and then baked in a coating of caramelized onions, apples, and curry powder. Savory and wonderful! Serve with rice and your favorite vegetable.

These are SO SIMPLE, yet so good - they taste just like steak! The chops can also be broiled in the oven.
