This is my family's new favorite sandwich. I had heard of it before and was slightly skeptical, but after I saw the reviews I decided to give it a shot, yummy!!

I have been making hot peanut butter sandwiches for years and adding in the jelly is an added treat. There is nothing like hot peanut butter and butter dripping down the corner of your mouth with every delicious bite. It is heavenly. Not diet friendly ofcourse but a much needed treat for the deserving-and we all deserve it :o) PS I do make a healthier version for the kids and just put the bread in the toaster and as soon as it comes out I add the peanut butter and jelly quick and it essentially is the same minus the butter on the outside. ENJOY!

My Grandmaw maid these for me when I was little, I got HOOKED! I use Wheat bread insted, I dont like white but i think Wheat browns better. I was serprised to find them on here. I got my best friend hooked on them a few years back. We were young and crazy then, so we asked if we could have bacon on them. It was an explosion of flavor!! Cook your bacon till it's still soft and flexable when done. Then lay down about 4 peaces across it. One layer deep.

Don't know why I took a Home Ec course in 7th grade in 1965...guess I wanted something easy just for the credit as I had been cooking and baking for several years already and didn't need this basic instruction. So the class, as I suspected, was boring (but fun) for me. We made some pretty basic recipes, none of them particularly memorable. But it speaks volumes that this simple twist on a basic PB&J sandwich left such an impression on me after all these years. I will NEVER forget that first bite... As with many other things in life, the more simple things are often the best.

This bad boy is really good! I had issues with my peanut butter and jelly squirting out every time I bit in to it though. So I had some flour tortillas laying around, spread the pb&j on it and popped it into the microwave for about 8-10 seconds and rolled it up (also rolling up one end). Tastes just as good and all the ooey gooey pb&j stays in!! Edited to add that I used MUCH more than the tsp of peanut butter and jelly.

Wow! I have been making these since I was a kid... Glad to see that other's are enjoying it as well! *If anyone wants to experiment... you can also make these in a flour tortilla, and make a pb&j "quesadilla". Just be sure to leave room around the edges, so it won't seep out while cooking. ;o)

The hot peanut butter and jelly run out all over the place and burn my fingers and make a mess. I'll just have my PB&J on toast if I want it hot.

A buddy once made this for me on a George Foreman grill (without butter). I thought that he was crazy for preparing a PB and J sandwich on a grill, but I liked it enough to request it again after a night out on the town. I was so tired and hungry that this sandwich tasted like the best thing on earth LOL!

One word: YUMMY! The only way to eat PB&J. I prefer it with a whole grain bread, crunchy peanut butter and a good jam. Decadent!

I make a version of this as a good-for-sharing dessert. After grilling, cut into four triangles, drizzle a little chocolate sauce in a zig-zag pattern and sprinkle powdered sugar on top. YUM.

Are you kidding me?? Who thinks of recipes like this? I never in a million years would have thought of toasting my PBJ sandwich. This was absolutely delicious with PB just dripping right out of it! I'm not sure I could ever eat a regular one again!

I make this all the time for my kids and they love it. I do change it up a bit. I use whole wheat bread and I sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on the buttered side before cooking. I also like to use honey instead of jam.... YUM!
