We made this for company that came in from out of town and it was a hit. No leftovers! I had to change the dressing and use green chiles, since they did not like spicy food. I have made it both ways and they are equally great. I bought shredded lettuce (since I was not to sure about the cabbage) and cabbage; and the cabbage ended up being the favorite.

I made this with grouper and it was awesome! I was out of cumin so I just used some taco seasoning instead of it and the chili powder. I also used cayenne pepper instead of hot sauce. The sour cream dressing is absolutely amazing! This will definitely be a regular from now on.

I followed the recommendations others posted in their reviews and I used only 1 tbsp of adobo sauce in the dressing. The fish still came out very flavorful. I will definitely make this again, but may try using catfish instead. The spices seemed to overpower the tilapia which is a very delicate tasting fish.

These came out delicious!!! I loved the marinade... used Tilapia, and marinated it all day... grilled it on the gril on aluminum foil (which was a good idea because the Tilapia is so delicate it falls apart... My 4 star rating is because the recipe called for 1/2 c adobo sauce from chipoltes. What I bought was a can of Goya chipolte peppers in adobo sauce... thank goodness I tasted it first! I used about 1 tbsp of the sauce and it was plenty hot for me and my boyfriend... any more would have made it inedible I think! Otherwise, great recipe and I'll definitely make it again...

I agree that the marinade is fantastic. I actually had it marinating for a couple of days. This was actually an accident because we were going to have it one Sunday night and the night escaped us. So I made it the next night. It was perfectly marinated. However the dressing was way to spicy. (& I love spicy food!) I would definitely eliminate the adobo sauce next time. There is enough spice with the cumin and chili pepper. Maybe add a little mayonnaise as well as sour cream. I served it with a broccoli slaw mix and diced tomatoes. I like the idea of avocadoes, I will use that next time.

These were very, very tasty; the dressing was fabulous. I give it 4 stars because I messed up the tilapia marinade..I added the pepper sauce to that marinade and it ended up being too hot for my bf's tastes. I LOVED IT, however. I used bagged cole slaw mix instead of coring a cabbage...mmm... Also added 1/4 c black beans and used low carb tortillas and fat free sour cream. DELICIOUS!

The adobo was way overwhelming. I agree with another reviewer that a couple of tablespoons would have been plenty. I had to double the sour cream just to make it edible. but the marinade was delicious.

Outstanding! We don't go out anymore for fish tacos because they taste better at home. I have had to skip the marinade in more recent nights and it is still a keeper. Thanks!

This was an awesome recipe. I loved the dressing, I thought it made the taco. I didn't use tilapia though, I was in a hurry and I used fish sticks instead, and it was great. I used cut cabbage and tomatoes, plus I made my own homemade chile to add on top of the dressing. I made the dressing and I calculated it down to serve only 3 and it came out perfect. Next time I am going to use the fresh fish and try the marinade. Thanks for a great recipe, I like fish tacos now!

Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! All I can say is who needs regular tacos when you have such a wonderful, healthy, light, and FLAVORFUL option. I used Red Snapper instead of tilapia b/c that what was in the freezer. My husband ate his w/ tortillas and I wrapped mine in romaine lettuce leaves.

This was tasty. I marinated this overnite but wish the fish had more of the marinade flavor. I think next time I'll increase the spices up. I did cut back on the chipolte in the topping because I knew the amount in the recipe was too much for me.

This would have been 5-stars BUT there is no way 1/2 cup of adobo sauce is correct. My husband and I love chipotle and that is the reason I made this recipe. I would say a few tablespoons is plenty.

This marinade is amazing!! My husband and I couldn't get enough of them. I didn't make tacos or the dressing, just marinated the tilapia fillets all day and then cooked them on an electric griddle. They were delicious with my favorite avocado corn salad. We'll definitely make these often! Next time we want to try the dressing too.

This recipe is awesome...It totally proved my assumption (that fish tacos were gross) wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong. This is tasty enough to impress your friends with! The marinade is crucial, so give it time. And make it spicy, it's more fun that way! Thanks for this recipe; this is certainly a keeper.
