I tried this recipe this past weekend I thought it would be a dud at the weekly cook out. I made 50 thinking that was more than enough.... they were gone in 15-20 minutes

These were just ok for me. Probably would not make again...just kind of blah which i didn't think was possible when anything is wrapped in bacon. Maybe some additions to the cream cheese might help...

I've been making these forever but I never cut them in half. I make a T incision, leaving the top on, seed the peppers, stuff them and wrap them in a slice of thick bacon. If you stuff the pepper whole, the cheese won't come out and you can cook them a little longer so bacon gets really crispy and the pepper gets tender.

Everyone loved them. Used the cream cheese, handful of grated cheese, and a splash of wooster sauce. Yum!

I made this for a cookout. Everyone loved it including me. To save some time I'm going to add crumble bacon on top of cream cheese instead of wrapping it. I think it will be just as good but I will let you know.

I HAVE ONLY SEEN MY HUSBAND CRY TEARS OF PURE JOY ONE OTHER TIME....and that was when his college football team WON the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.....Yes, these bacon Jalapeno wraps are THAT GOOD!!!!!! TIPS: I did boil the Jalapeno halves for 6 mins, used a packet of dry ranch dip/cream cheese/shredded Italian cheese that was leftover in fridge and mixed. I put them in the freezer for 20 mins after wrapping with bacon and put them on skewers instead of toothpicks. I grilled them on medium/high heat cheese side down until cheese began to bubble then flipped them until cheese bubbled more and then moved them to a piece of foil to continue cooking them on the grill. These were tender, low amount of heat and I did not get cheese all over the place although this can easily happen if you do not watch them cook. Hope you and yours cry tears of joy as well!!! UPDATE: Made these differently. Added to cream cheese: 1 tsp of chili powder, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1 Tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 tsp liquid smoke, 1/2 cup of shredded Italian cheese or cheddar....YUMMY!!

I liked these okay. Everyone else loved them. I did boil for about 4 minutes before stuffing them. I also added half a package of ranch mix. I also used a whole piece of bacon because I thought half was too small. The only problem I had was some of the cheese mix coming out as they cooked (in the oven).

So good! I'm not into spicy food so I soaked the peppers in ice water for 30 minutes before I stuffed and grilled them. They were awesome! Literally disappeared in seconds at the Block Party. Will definitely make again!

My friend and I served these at a chili competition that we competed in. We couldn't keep them coming off the grill fast enough. We found that it is easier to cook them if you use two skewers to hold them together instead of tooth picks. you can a bunch of them on the skewers and its easier to turn them.

These are really good, however, like one reader suggested we always put Cajun seasoning and cayenne pepper in the cream cheese(we like em spicy) I've also tried them with red bell pepper in the cream cheese. You can kind of make them your own and add whatever you like to the cream cheese to flavor it up. MAKE SURE TO WEAR GLOVES WHILE HANDLING THE JALAPENOS!!! Especially if you wear contact lenses!

These were a hit at my last party. Little time-consuming but well worth it! If you're going to use the broiler to cook these...I recommend broiling the jalapenos first, then fill and wrap with bacon. Because the bacon is slightly cook before wrapping, when you put these back in the broiler it only takes a few minutes to finish cooking the bacon and sometimes the jalapenos don't get that cooked (browned).

These are always requested by my friends. However, I do make some changes to the recipe. I use whole jalapenos instead of halved ones. I cut a piece of jalapeno out, fill the bottom with shredded cheddar cheese, then fill w/cream cheese, then wrap w/bacon. Slow cook on the grill for about 45 minutes and they are no longer too hot. Cook over direct heat for 20 minutes for hotter jalapenos.

We did not care for these at all. Lacking a lot of flavor. I added some garlic powder to the cream cheese and it still was not enough. Not a keeper for us!
