Green Pea Sauce

This green pea sauce adds a very nice flavor to mashed potatoes, and the combination goes very well along with steak. To reduce the amount of fat in the sauce I like to use evaporated milk. You can use cream instead, but I think the lower-fat-version is just as tasty!

You would not believe that this dish is actually Vietnamese! Even my meat and potatoes husband loves it! My recommendation is to have plenty of white rice on hand since the sauce is so tasty! Great as part of an Asian meal.
