I've made this recipe for years, modifying it to serve 15-20 people for Thanksgiving. It's great! Fresh beans are so much better than the canned old-school soup recipe. One modification I have done through the years is to add a pound of Crimini Mushrooms sauteed in Butter and White Wine as an added twist. Also, Since Thanksgiving can be so hectic, I will make this in advance, cover it with foil and reheat it in the oven just prior to serving. Always a huge hit!
