i read the reviews before i made this recipe and noticed that some people would change the recipe by adding a whole bunch of random stuff and then give it a 3 or 4 star. i followed the recipe exactly as is and OMG!! this is such an easy way to have people go crazy over a vegetable side dish. i will definitely make it everytime i have beans with a meal.

I also used fresh green beans, halved. Was surprised something so simple would be so good! A definite keeper!

Pretty good. I used a can of regular cut green beans and they didn't taste canned. Will make again!

This was really good and easy to prepare. I'd say do the lemon to your own taste, as what was listed just wasn't enough for me. The toasted almonds are great. I added a little minced garlic also. Will definitely make this again !!

Good....steamed the beans, only used 1 tblspn. (which was more than plenty) of butter and no lemon. Thanks!

This was a good recipe. I steamed fresh green beans and added a lot less butter. Next time I will not add any lemon, just a preference.

Loved this! The browned butter makes all the difference! The lemon juice gave the beans a fresh taste and the garlic I added was the perfect addition.

Very good. I liked the touch of lemon juice. I used canned french style green beans and the lemon really brightened them up.

So Easy and Delicious! I used 3 Tablespoons of butter instead of 4. I took the almonds off the burner when they were just beginning to brown. After I added the lemon they browned perfectly. I used fresh green beans chopped into medium sized pieces.

used fresh green beans and a lot less butter. great basic recipe that makes eating greens much more pleasant than eating them straight. i.e. the lemon and toasted almonds make all the difference!

This was delicious! I steamed fresh green beans until crisp tender and used olive oil instead of butter. Watch the almonds closely -- they burn fast!! I ended up adding some Trader Joe's Dry Toasted sliced almonds at the end to compensate for some "overdone" almonds!!
