My family loves these! They have become a regular vegetable dish at our table. I always use fresh green beans or fresh french green beans.

These green beans are so tasty , even without the salt, which makes it very healthy! And so easy to make.

I used regular frozen green beans, since I didn't have french style. Delicious recipe! The toasted almonds and lemon juice make it awesome!

These are great! Made as written except I steamed the green beans instead. What wonderful flavor combinations! I made this as a side item to the Salmon with Brown Sugar and Bourbon Glaze, also on this website and with a bed of long-grain brown rice - great meal!

I normally do not care for French-style green beans but had some in my freezer from when my mom visited. I didn't want to waste them so tried this recipe. Delicious! I didn't have any slivered almonds so I just chopped them but that was the only thing I changed. I'll definitely be buying more French-style green beans now!

I used this recipe as a base. I used fresh green beans and steamed them, instead of boiling. Everything else i did exactly. Delicious and very easy!

Well, I admit it, I didn’t follow this recipe, but I used it as guide. I cooked my beans as directed in the recipe early in the afternoon. I also cooked some bacon, cooled and crumbled it. I tossed some sliced almonds with a little bacon grease and baked them at 350 for about 10 minutes. When I was ready to serve, I drizzled just a little bacon grease over the green beans, tossing to just lightly coat them. Then I reheated them in the microwave, tossed in the crumbled bacon and almonds. I used a sprinkling of salt and served. I didn’t use the butter or the lemon juice. This was a very nice way to dress up green beans and I would make them this way again.

I made these with the Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi and Asian Coconut Rice (recipes on this site) and they were a great side dish. Made the recipe as stated.

Wonderful butter flavor that tastes clean because the lemon juice cuts the fat. Don't be shy with the lemon. You can always add a pinch more salt to balance the acidity of the lemon.
