8 slices bacon
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup fresh ginger, peeled and grated
1 onion, diced
1 1/2 cups mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
salt and ground black pepper to taste
4 (15 ounce) cans French cut green beans, drained
1 1/4 cups sour cream
1 (5 ounce) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
1 1/2 cups sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
3 cups finely chopped macadamia nuts
My family was not too happy about trying something new and they LOVED this at Thanksgiving. This was the first of the "leftovers" to dissappear, and that's a first!
I thought this recipe sounded good because I always like to try new things but the flavors did not really go well together. Out of 12 people only one person enjoyed this dish.

I have hate green bean casserole from childhood but my family loves it, I made this one for a last ditched effort and it was an instant hit I even liked it,Good job.
I did not care for this recipe ,I always do the traditional green bean, but this sounded good, the sour cream made it running and the ginger was weird, everyone said please bring the other one next year. Sorry
