Original Recipe Yield 2 cups
 

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 medium fresh jalapeno peppers, seeded, deveined, and finely minced
  • 1 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 avocado, peeled and pitted
  • 1/2 pound tomatillos, husked and chopped

Directions

  1. Place the water, pepper, onion, garlic, jalapenos, cilantro, avocado, and tomatillos in a blender, or the bowl of a food processor. Puree or process to desired consistency, adding more water as needed. Serve immediately.
