This is excellent. I had a little trouble with the cake sticking to the cloth but it did not ruin it at all, it still rolled up nicely. The flavor is perfect too. Thanks

This is great, just finely chop some pecans and roll onto sides of pumpkin roll. Also, this is definately better the next day. The longer is sits in the fridge, the better it tastes.

Okay, I made this recipe last year for Thanksgiving, and it was a hit. My mom requested this especially for this year, and I have been looking forward to it for a couple of months. When I made it this year, I must have messed up somewhere (although I swear I followed the recipe exactly except for the pumpkin pie spice, which I replaced with cinnamon and nutmeg) because it was TERRIBLE. I mean, COMPLETELY INEDIBLE. It feel apart as soon as I took it out of the oven, and the taste just followed it down from there. It was a mess. I did rate it four stars, though, because I KNOW this is a good recipe, and I must have just messed it up.

Very dense cake, easy to roll, but the flavor was bland,I will use more spices next time. Also the filling could have been a touch sweeter.

Spectacular! I accidentally overbaked the cake a tiny bit (didn't hear the timer), but even with a little too much browning, the pumpkin roll was great & I highly recommend this recipe.

Turned out wonderfully. I don't see where people thought the directions were confusing - unless your a beginning cook - they are quite understandable to me. I use cheesecloth sprinkled with confectioner's sugar always when rolling, it works perfectly.

This was the first time I have made a pumpkin roll and this recipe was easy to make. Had no problem rolling it and it didn't stick to the pan. The cake seems a little too moist and the filling was a bit thin (I added toasted almonds) but otherwise, delicious. I will make this recipe again with a couple of tweaks :)

I've been making this recipe for years and I always get great compliments. I always make 2 at a time and freeze one. I recently made a couple changes...I use a 10x15 jelly roll pan and roll cake from the short end. You get a better pinwheel effect so it looks impressive. My 4 year old daughter prefers this to pumpkin pie!

Wow, this was great with a few modifications...I used a cookie sheet with edges (BE SURE too because the batter is runny like a reg cake and if your cookie sheet doesnt have elevated edges of course your batter will not be held up by anything)... I used the advice of another reviewer and lined the pan with parchment paper..when I took it out of the over i let it cool for 15-20 minutes the flipped the cake onto another sheet of parchment paper with powdered sugar sprinkled on it, then peeled off the parchment paper.. had no problems with sticking. I spread the cream cheese icing on and sprinkled crushed walnuts on top! Had no problems with cracking when I rolled it. Perfect recipe to make at this time of year! My boyfriend and his friends all loved it!

This was awesome. Followed recipe almost exactly as written. I was scared about rolling in the dish towel so I rolled in wax paper sprinkled with powdered sugar instead. Make sure to grease your cookie sheet generously and you shouldn't have any problems with cake sticking. Try it, it is not as hard as it seems!

this tastes great and doesn't require a mixer to make :) try not to spread filling to edges - squeezes out when rolling:(

I tried this exactly as printed. But I think the pan size was wrong. I used the 9x13 and it was a disaster! Then I tried again using a 15x10 and it was perfect. I probably won't make it again as it was too time consuming with kids in the house.
