very good recipe, I was looking for something like my mom used to make when I was a little girl, and this is it. Next time I will cut the sugar down a bit, (just a personal preferance) it was a bit sweet for me. Other than that a great recipe! Thank you.

I followed the recipe exactly. I had to bake it for 45min. and lowered the temp to 350 because the crust was starting to burn and the filling was not getting done, finally I lowered to 300 and baked at least 15 min. more.

Very good custard, I doubled the recipe and both were gone in two days. The only thing I did different was I put the custard in a water bath in the oven. I have always put the custard pies on a cookie sheet and added about an inch of water to the cookie sheet like a "bath". Very good, I will make again.

The only thing that saved this pie was the homemade pie crust. Otherwise the custard was just okay. I used extra vanilla too but it didn't turn out half as good as I had hoped. This is my first attempt at a custard pie and while we are all custard fans even the kids wouldn't touch it after one bite.

I made this recipe w/o crust & 1% milk. It was easy & pretty & delicious, not too sweet, but very satisfying. Strawberries on the side would have been a bonus.

This was wonderful and so easy to make, my 6 year old helped. I would normally substitute Splenda for sugar, but was low on Splenda, so went half and half with the sugar. Used 1% milk and thought it turned out great!

This custard pie was wonderful, it reminded my husband of one that his grandmother used to make. I only had 1% milk in the fridge so I used half and half and 1% milk both which I'm sure added to the creamy texture. Very simple and delicious!

This is good, but not great. I'm used to a sweeter pie with a firmer consistency. Next time, I'll add another 1/2 cup of sugar. As far as the consistency, I wonder if that was because I used one-percent milk. Either that, or it needs another egg and less milk. I'm gonna need to play around with this one to get the result I desire.

This is a delicious pie! I added 1/4 tsp of salt the last time I made it, and it was even better! Without the salt it was a little flat tasting.

I'm not that big of a fan of egg custard pie. I made this pie at my boyfriend's request. He liked it, it passed the test, and I've nothing to complain about.

This was good. Not as good as some made it out to be, but pretty good. Imade it for my friend's birthday and she loved it......or maybe she was just trying to be nice. Either way, I would recomend this to all you custard lovers out there because it is pretty tasty.
