This recipe is a good start. I used whole wheat wide egg noodles, large dash of black pepper, low sodium chicken broth, and 1 cup thinly sliced carrots. Also boiled un-cooked chicken in water for 25-40 min (length depending on how thick the chicken is) After chicken is cool shred and add to soup to warm.

I've tried 'em all and this is the best chicken soup I've ever made! I only used 8 cups of broth. I added sliced carrots. Did not use cornstarch or water. I put three large frozen breasts in the crockpot and dumped a large carton of broth over them and added the rest of the ingredients. Right before serving we shredded the chicken and added a few cups of cooked, skinny egg noodles. It was to die for!

This was a very flavorful soup recipe without all the work. We'll be eating this regularly & I'm using this in my neighborhood soup exchange. My changes were: added 1 cup chopped carrots, used a rotisserie chicken & added all the drippings into the broth, added 1 TBS of Spice Island's Savory Blend spice mix (I got it at Sam's & can't live without it!), added 1 cup more noodles for my 2 & 5 year old kids. Great flavor. Easy & fast prep. Smiling faces at dinner. What more can you ask for?

This soup is great! I used two boxes of chicken broth and 4 cups of water with some chicken bouillon granules. I also bought a rotisserie chicken from my local supermarket. This one happen to be greek herb seasoned, which I thought went perfectly with the soup. I also added a little ginger and some pasta seasoning (onion, lemon, pepper, ginger, garlic). The soup thickened nicely and had great flavor.

I was looking for a chicken noodle soup recipe that tasted good and wouldn't take 4 hours to make. This was it! I used 3 boxes of broth (one of them low sodium), and I purchased two pre-cooked chicken breasts from the grocery deli, and that seemed like plenty of chicken meat in the soup. Added about a tsp. more salt while it was cooking. By all means, do not waste the time and energy to cook the noodles separately; just throw them into the boiling soup. A good blast of black pepper helps if you are suffering from a cold.

This recipe is awesome! For those of you that thought it was too salty...let me explain why! The chicken broth is HOMEMADE! You season it yourself unlike the store bought stuff that is packed with sodium. I made this with my own broth (Take a pot and fill it with water. Add your chicken bones, skin and all. Add veggies such as celery and carrots along with your chosen seasoning. I use a homemade rotisserie seasoning. Stew it all in the oven for 8-10 hours. When done strain broth out and seperate chicken and you've got what you need for this great soup. I use a HUGE stock pot and I usually get 9 quarts of broth out of it. You can can up the extra broth in jars by processing for 20 minutes.) Hope this clears up the mistaken "salty" problem for all of you!

This was a great recipe for a "quick" chicken soup. I made it for my kids for lunch and they loved it. Needed a bit more seasoning but still yummy!!

This was so quick and easy to make, and wonderful. I followed other reviewers' suggestions: *used whole rotisserie chicken, and add to broth right away *added half bag of frozen carrots *added bay leaf, italian seasonings, crushed garlic to broth Came out wonderful. Only thing I would do differently is cut down on the salt. Mine came out a bit salty but I did not use low sodium broth.

Hands down, the best chicken soup ever. We make it weekly during the winter, and every single time somebody gets sick. I add carrots and maybe a little more poultry seasoning than called for, but otherwise, the recipe is perfect as it is. Utterly delicious.

Good quick chicken soup base. I add half a rotissare chicken chopped up and skip the cornstarch or decrease to 2T. Quick easy comfort.

This is very good. Like other reviewers, I used a rotisserie chicken, added carrots, garlic with the onions and celery and let the whole chicken simmer with the veggies awhile before I shredded the chicken. I also added a bit of basil, parsley and black pepper. I did not add any salt and it was perfect (and I'm a salt lover!). Will make again.

It was good but I don't think the "best ever." I used rotisserie chicken, low-sodium broth and cut the amount of salt added in half and it was still a bit salty (and we love salt here.) It is very good for how quickly it comes together.

VERY tasty. I did this over the course of a few hours. I added ingredients and raw chicken pieces. I let it simmer for about 4 hours, then I added a lot of noodles and no corn starch. It was surprising flavorful and yummy!

Tried to make according to the recipe but found it kinda bland. So I added some chicken bouillon, some sliced garlic cloves, a little sage and pepper. Came out great.
