Very, very good! I made these for Easter Dinner, yesterday, and everyone loved them. I had three large sweet potatoes and I did as someone else suggested (peel, boil, & mash) which was simple. I had to make two batches of topping, but I think that is b/c I larger pototoes. This recipe will definitely go in my box. Thanks!

Like others, I don't really like Sweet Potatoes. I made this for Easter. I now LOVVVVEEE sweet potatoes. Made it exactly as stated, came out incredibly good. Tastes like a dessert.

I made this for the second time yesterday and everyone loved it. I get asked for the recipe everytime I make it. I use milk instead of cream and I don't think you can tell the difference with such a small amount. I don't put any marshmallows on top and it is so good!! The amount of potatoes I used was just under five pounds and it served 12 people with about 1/2 cup leftover.

I made this recipe on a slightly smaller scale and it turned out ok. I think I screwed up the topping by using margarine but it was all that i had... a fairly good recipe and I will probably make again with the proper ingredients.

This is by far the best sweet potato casserole that I've ever had. I think that the heavy cream makes the texture very smooth! Thanks for this recipe! It is not too sweet. I love it!

This is very similar to the sweet potato pudding (the word casserole is an immediate turn off in my family) that I have to make at every family holiday meal. If you increase the butter/margarine, you can eliminate the milk/cream. I have used 1/2 sugar, 1/2 honey with good results. I put it in a cake pan for thinner pudding and more topping. One year when I didn't make this, I was in deep trouble--never skipped again. This is made the night before the big holiday meal (usually with the cooks drinking wine)and is very forgiving if the measurements aren't exact.
