This was not one of the best that I have tried but it was OK. I will stick to my regular recipe which includes corn flakes in the topping. That is the best.

I tried this for the first time at Christmas and it went over well with everyone, whether they usually prefer their sweet potatoes sweet or not so sweet. It's a keeper!

The first time I made this I used 5 sweet potatoes and there were no where near enough to fill the pan. This time I used 7 large sweet potatoes and it was perfect. After peeling, then boiling the sweet potatoes, I threw all the ingredients into my mixer and was done in seconds. One note, try not to overmix the sweet potatoes as they come out really soft...like baby food. Still yummy but a little too pureed for my taste. Also, I had to bake it for about 45-60 minutes in order for the topping to get crispy. This is a really good recipe...always in high demand at any holiday gathering we go to.

I made this for Christmas Eve, and it was SOOOOOO good! The only change I made was using lactaid milk b/c my mother in law is lactose intolerant. Best Sweet Potato casserole I've ever had!

THIS IS BEST SWEET POTATOE RECIPE I HAVE EVER TRIED!!! Thank you sooo much! Year after year I've been trying sweet potatoe/yam recipes one after the other and have never been too happy with the results. Sweet potatoes or candied yams being my Mom's all-time favorite holiday dish, I really needed to find a recipe to please her taste buds as well as my own. THIS WAS DEFINATELY A PLEASER! I, for the most part followed the recipe exactly except for a few minor changes. I used 3 very large yams instead of sweet potatoes. Also, instead of using a pastry blender to make the topping, I just put the sugar, COLD butter, flour and pecan mixture in my food processor and pulsed until it resulted in a cornmeal like texture. (Note: the recipe calls for 1/4 c. of butter and a 1/4 c. butter, SOFTENED but doesn't specify which is used for what. I used COLD butter for topping) Then I added some extra chopped pecans right on top for presentation and texture. My Mom is not a fan of mashing the sweet potatoes/yams so she was a little skeptical but after tasting this she was quick to change the way she felt about it. That sweet crunch to the topping paired againts the sweet creamy consistency of the yams were AMAZING!!! Thanks again! You hit the jackpot with this recipe :)

I made these last night to take to a Christmas dinner. I substituted two large cans of Bruce's canned yams and it came out wonderfully. Rave reviews from all!

This was excellent, not overly sweet like some casseroles. I used 1/3 cup white sugar and vanilla creamer in place of heavy cream because I didn't have any on hand! This is staying in the file for next year!

I made this for our Christmas dinner & my new daughter-in-law said it was the best sweet potatoes she'd ever eaten! Thanks. I topped it only with chopped pecans so it wouldn't be too sweet. Great.

This is very good. I followed the recipe to a T. The only suggestion that I have is to make sure that your potatoes are done. I used 4 very large potatoes and the baking time that the recipe stated was not nearly long enough. I ended up finishing them up in the microwave so that they were soft enough to mash, which I did with an electric mixer. Thanks, this was a great addition to our Christmas dinner.

I made this for our office Thanksgiving luncheon this year--I wanted something withOUT marshmallows on top as we only have a microwave for reheating. This was EXCELLENT! It reheated well and tasted GREAT! The only modification I did was substitute evaporated milk for the cream and add a pinch of ginger and allspice. It is a keeper and I'm making it for our family Christmas dinner tomorrow. WONDERFUL recipe!

Amazing! I like to add oatmeal to the but leave out the nuts. Just add a little more butter to balance out the 'dry' and you're good to go!

I made this for Thanksgiving & couldn't help myself from digging into the leftovers for days later. I cut the sugar back by quite a bit & realized midway that I didn't have the pecans (bummer) but this turned out amazing. I've never been a fan of sweet potatoes but this will be added to my "must haves" for the holidays. I'm making it again for Christmas!!
