A good recipes for a base. I added blueberries after I put them on the skillet. (then they don't break in the batter). Pretty good. Will make again.

These didn't seem to have much flavor. I much prefer the buttermilk pancake recipe.

Great pancake! Tried it the original way, and also with some alterations. We tried it altered this morning: substituted half the flour with whole wheat flour, sugar with brown sugar, and melted butter with olive oil. Both ways, a fantastic pancake with butter and REAL maple syrup. Goes great with coffee!

This makes GREAT pancakes, nice and fluffy! I modify, using 3/4c unbleached all purpose and 3/4c wheat flour, applesauce (usually cinnamon) instead of butter and I leave out the salt. They come out delicious and everyone loves them!

So easy that my daughter can make them. I followed the recipe exactly (doubled it for our large family) but just added a splash of vanilla. Yum!

Very good! I followed the recipe with two small changes. I halfed the salt and added 1 teaspoon vanilla. I will never buy another box mix again.

I also agree that this recipe is perfect just the way it is. I did add the 1/2 tsp of vanilla as well, but I didn't deviate from the recipe at all other than that. I also didn't sift the flour and I still thought the pancakes were very fluffy and perfect. I only wish I would have let the griddle heat up a little more. It is hard to be patient when your 18 month old is running around the house going, "cakes, mommy, cakes!" I love that I can give her something wholesome and special for breakfast. It brings a sense of normalcy in her life since her daddy is deployed. Thanks so much for sharing!

These are the BEST!! I have to triple this recipe!! We like them sweeter so we add more sugar and real vanilla extract, box pancake mix is a joke compared to these... mmmmm.. my family asked to have more pancakes for dinner!! edit to add: We have been making this for years now, I can honestly say I have NOT bought a box mix since I've tried this recipe.. better than the original pancake house.. I add chopped apples and cinnamon when I have apples on hand.

These tasted salty and had a bitter aftertaste. I Made it exactly as written other than I added more flour at the end to thicken. Will use my regular recipe which, oddly enough, requires less sugar and more baking powder.

Absolutely the best pancakes I've had that were not buttermilk. Very light and very, very fluffy. I'm getting ready to make up individual bags of the dry mix to have on hand so I can just sift, add the wet ingredients and go. The only change to the ingredients I made was to add a splash of vanilla, personal preference. I read a lot of reviews and a lot of people stated how they thought the serving size was off, I think that the serving size more closely represents how many large size pancakes you get from the batter. I doubled the recipe based on others reviews and ended up making 10 good sized pancakes with plenty of batter left for another 7-8. They cook up so thick that they are very filling. I did change the procedure a little, I let the eggs sit on the counter to bring them to room temp while I measured and sifted the dry ingred. I warmed the milk a little. I used a seperate bowl and beat the eggs lightly, then added the milk, vanilla and melted butter and mixed. I then continued with the directions as written. Will make these anytime we have pancakes, thank you!

These are fantastic pancakes!! Made them this weekend for my son and Mom and they both loved them. I followed recipe as written, but did need to add a tiny bit more milk as batter was too thick and 1 tsp vanilla. Served with fresh strawberries and maple syrup, comfort food at its best! Thanks for the recipe, no more box mix for us!!

This is by far the greatest pancake recipe i have ever used. I make them way too often, but i have yet to get sick of them. They take hardly any time to make, and I wouldn't change a thing. (And i cannot help but giggle at the last reviewer who said they wouldn't change a thing... and then proceeded to give a list of changes.)

Wow! This is going in my GOLD recipe book! I didn't know pancakes could be so yummy. I did add about a T. of vanilla and two more T. of sugar. We like our pancakes a little sweeter with less syrup.
