Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 teaspoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the butter and the sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, milk and vanilla.
  3. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together. Add the flour mixture the butter mixture and stir to combine.
  4. Drop teaspoonfuls of the dough on the prepared baking sheets and bake at 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) for 5 to 8 minutes or until just golden.
