Love it, love it, love it! If you like Jiffy, you'll love this recipe. My husband said he didn't eat anything but Jiffy. Well, we ran out. So, I pulled up this recipe; cooked it and fed it to him. Guess what? He didn't know until I told him. Guess what else? Now he asks me for the recipe so that he can make cornbread. This is a really great recipe. Thanks for sharing.

The best! My daughter made this tonight and it was so good. She did reduce the sugar to 1/2 cup (personal preference). This recipe is moist and flavorful. Perfect with chili. Thanks for sharing.

I followed the recipe exactly but it wasn't as moist as I was hoping for. I'll probably try a different one next time.

I added diced jalapenos to the batter and it was great. My youngest son, who's generally very picky, kept coming back for more.

This is a pretty good recipe! Not as sweet or moist as Grandma's Buttermilk cornbread on this site, but still pretty yummy.

This is a great recipe for sweet cornbread. It's so easy to make. Why fool with that boxed mix?

Exellent! I added 2 tblspns. of sour cream, some shredded cheddar and a 4 oz. can of diced green chilies. Perfect with our chili fest last night. Moist and sweet...not dry at all. Will make again.

I made muffins and they were delicious! Cut a little on the sugar the first time, but used the whole amount the second plus some honey and they were just the way we like. A little crumbly, will continue to work on the oil for that, but overall great recipe.

This is very good cornbread! I like mine to be sweet, and this was perfect. I 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour and half a cup of white flour...my family didn't notice the change. I also cut the baking powder to 2 1/2 tsp, 3 1/2 seemed to be a bit much. My family and I liked this one...thanks for sharing!!!

Very moist and delicious. I used 2% milk in my recipe and everything else was verbatum. I mixed honey and margerine together to go on top, and it added the perfect touch!

I have only ever made the corn bread recipe from the box and this one is MUCH better. Tastes like the sweet corn bread you'd get at a restaurant and you can whip it up in no time! I made mine into muffins and caught my beau sneaking one before bedtime they were so good :)

This cornbread is absolutely delicious. We used to just make cornbread out of a box and top it with butter and honey, which was pretty good. This cornbread doesn't even need any condiments on top, because it is so sweet, flavorful and moist. I made it last week to accompany some squash turkey chili, and my partner said it is the best cornbread he's ever had. He has extremely discriminating taste, and is an amateur chef himself, but has requested that I make this cornbread at least once a week. Also, he took a big slice of it to work for lunch the next day and ended up sitting next to someone else who also had brought homemade cornbread. When she saw that hers was much denser, flatter and drier than his, she said, "well, mine is homemade," (as though that excuses bad food!) and he just said "oh" and sat back to revel in the glory of this fantastic bread :-)
