This was the first time I ever made cornbread. If you dont want the plain no taste cornbread this is the perfect recipe. Even my kids loved it.

I made this recipce X's 6 and it still turned out awesome! I swapped melted butter for the oil. People were so amazed at how moist it was just on its own. My new favorite cornbread recipe!

WOW! This is seriously perfect! I saw some of the other reviews and do plan on trying the suggestions at some point, but if you want a great EASY and SUPER YUMMY corn bread try this! (if you choose to make muffins, temp is 400 and USE CUPCAKE LINERS!)

I love, love, LOVE this cornbread! It's so easy to make and goes great with chili. I especially love it because it's made of ingredients I always have on hand (I keep yellow cornmeal in stock just for this). Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

This is an absolutely outstanding recipe. It makes 12 muffins perfectly, and this is a nice easy way to serve them to guests. I agree with a former person that they are great with butter and honey. I am serving them this evening with a soup and salad for a nice comfort meal.

This is great! This is my second attempt to make cornbread, the last recipe turned out dense and tasteless. This one is excellent! Texture is nice, and just the right sweetness for me! I will make this again!

This is a great standard cornbread recipe. I'm pretty sure it is the same as used to be on the Quaker box for many years which I have tried to find periodically. Recent recipes have had too much flour to cornmeal ratio.

This is delicious and sweet; just what I was looking for. I've had problems in the past with crumbly cornbread, so I added about 50% more oil. I made muffins instead of a whole pan and they turned out perfect.

Since his college days, my husband has loved Jiffy corn muffin mix. I don't buy it because it contains partially hydrogenated oil. I've been looking for a replacement for years and this is it. I use organic stone-ground (fine) cornmeal and Eggbeaters and he loves it. The best part is that it's just as easy as the mix. Thanks, bluegirl, for a great recipe that will be used from now on in my house.

This is a really great cornbread. I grew up eating savory cornbread but my husband likes sweet so I tried this and we love it! I made a double batch but I left the sugar the same. I added 3 packets of powdered stevia for some extra sweet without the calories. I also added an 8 oz can of cream style corn and I reduced the oil to 2 tablespoons. I thought it was perfect but my hubby thought it could have been a touch sweeter. Next time I'll probably add a bit more sugar.

Love it, love it, love it! If you like Jiffy, you'll love this recipe. My husband said he didn't eat anything but Jiffy. Well, we ran out. So, I pulled up this recipe; cooked it and fed it to him. Guess what? He didn't know until I told him. Guess what else? Now he asks me for the recipe so that he can make cornbread. This is a really great recipe. Thanks for sharing.

The best! My daughter made this tonight and it was so good. She did reduce the sugar to 1/2 cup (personal preference). This recipe is moist and flavorful. Perfect with chili. Thanks for sharing.

I made this for the first time yesterday for our schools Harvest Carnival. was really great ! I followed the recipe . today i'm making more. this time I doubled it. added a sm. can of chilie's and a cup of cheese and chili pdr. my husband went crazy for them ! awesome recipe thanks !
