Original recipe makes 4 to 6 servings Change Servings


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add noodles and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  2. In a small saucepan, saute onion and mushrooms in chicken broth. Remove from heat. Stir in soup, milk and basil. Mix well. Set aside.
  3. In a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish, arrange 3 cooked lasagna noodles. Layer as follows: 1/2 the chicken, 1/2 the ricotta cheese, 1/2 the Cheddar cheese, 1/2 the Parmesan cheese and 1/2 the mushroom/soup mixture. Add the other 3 lasagna noodles and repeat layers. Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for approximately 50 minutes.

I enjoyed it but my husband thought it was just OK, and my son picked the chicken out of it.

I did not care for this recipe - there wasn't enough sauce or flavor. My kids didn't eat it either. But my husband (weirdo) loved it. I will not make this again.

Great change of pace from traditional lasagna, and even better the next day! I grilled the chicken which added a subtle smoky flavor.

This one is ALWAYS a hit when I make it... It's always the first thing finished at potlucks! A couple of changes - (1) I use up to a third cup of chicken broth to increase the volume of sauce (even more if you use oven-ready noodles), and (2) I often substitute reduced fat cheddar (part-skim, NOT processed) - it still melts nicely, but reduces the grease and gooey-ness

A good kid dish. Easy to make. I really cheated and used no boil noodles and frozen chicken breast.

This was good, but a little too cheesy and gooey for my taste. My husband, however, loved it.
