EASY TO MAKE BY THJE RECIPE. I ADDED CHOPPED PECANS AND RAISENS. I USED SPLENDA RATHER THAN SUGER. THE LOAF WAS VERY SOLID/DENSE IN TEXTURE BUT VERY GOOD. IT WAS GREAT BY ITSELF OR WITH A LITTLE BUTTER.

I have tried so many bread machine recipes here and this one is my very favorite. It turns out perfect every single time I make it. I've made it as written, added olive oil and Italian seasonings and garlic and made a yummy French bread... there is no end to what you can do with this basic recipe. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a great bread recipe.

Hubs requested I make bread – just a basic, everyday white loaf for toast and jam or for sandwiches. (the last slice he toasted and slathered with blueberry jam turned out to be an herb bread - he was not a happy camper) For our tastes the honey alone was sweetness enough, so I omitted the sugar. I also used butter rather than the vegetable oil. This was what he had in mind - nothing fancy, nothing different, just a good ol' white bread.

Excellent, though it got a little too dark, so I'd recommend taking out a little early. Oh, and I doubled the honey like others.

VERY soft bread, and though the top was brown, it wasn't hard or overdone. However it could use more honey. I see someone said 4 tbsp wasn't enough. I think i'll try 1/3 cup next time. and i did have to add 2 more tbsp of water & it was perfect but a lil sticky when i took the dough out to make rolls. but a lil flour fixed it! =)

This is a good recipe, the bread comes out soft and with a nice crust. As others above me have stated, I'd suggest doubling up on the honey... I added one extra tablespoon but it was still just a hint of honey flavor.

Excellent and easy. I dumped everything in the bread machine, ran the dough cycle, then put in a bread pan and let rise for about 25 minutes. I baked at 375 for 50 minutes since 375 works best for breads in my oven. Turned out nice and golden. Bf was thrilled I made him white bread, and for white bread, it was good. Thanks for the recipe!

This turned out wonderful .. I needed to add about 4 Tbsp. extra water and it turned out perfect .. it has a very mild taste of honey, I think next time I will try a bit more .. The texture and taste were great, I will be making this again
