I made 2 separate & different batches of this recipe, in order to understand the negative comments. The 1st batch, I used salted butter; the cookies turned out moist and delicious. The 2nd batch I used unsalted butter, they turned out flat, with crispy edges and an oily soft center. They were also darker. Both were good, but The 1st had more flavor. In my opinion, salt brings out the flavor in everything; even using the smallest amount or even salt substitute.
