I am rating based on the glaze alone. The meatloaf recipe seemed just ok so I used my own. The glaze over the top made it AWESOME!!

I followed the recipe exactly, but my husband and I weren't too impressed. My son loved the sweet glaze, but the meat was very bland. My normal meatloaf recipe uses garlic flavored croutons (crushed fine in food processor) instead of plain bread which adds lots of flavor. I would recommend trying that with this recipe.

I have always like Meatloaf, especially on bread the day after for lunch. This was a hit with the whole family- and the best part is I made it with ground venison. It was tasty, moist- but without any of the fat.

This is good, but not perfect. After making this I changed just a few things the second time, and now I have a perfect meatloaf.

First of all...lining the baking dish with bread slices to absorb the grease is a brilliant idea and works!!! I've been trying all kinds of meatloaf recipes and my husband hasn't cared for any of them until this one! He's not a catsup fan, but he loves the topping on this one. I also changed it up a bit, I added finely diced green pepper, a dash of worcestersauce sauce, used oats instead of bread and regular yellow mustard. I also used splenda brown sugar instead of regular brown sugar. We own a catering company and this recipe has replaced our old one for our clients and now he eats it too. We make an extra batch of sauce because our clients all want more. This one's a keeper!

We love meatloaf and this has become our FAVORITE by far. I did tweak it as Diane S. suggested....yummmmmmeeeeee! Great with mashed garlic small potatoes.

We all really liked this but, like other raters, I'll be doubling the sauce next time. Doesn't burp real well when eaten on a sandwich the next day, though.

Love it...but I do love meatloaf. I used 1/2 a packet of onion soup mix and 1/2 cup of bread crumbs. I forgot to add the ketchup mixture to the meatloaf...opps. So I only cooked it for 45 minutes for fear it would be dry. It was still great even after the additional 10 minutes with the sauce..and it was cooked! WHEWW! Everyone liked the sauce but now I am curious to add balsalmic..hmm! THANKS!!

Just made this meat loaf for the first time and it is delicious! I never liked meat loaf because of the grease factor ... the whole thing soaking in all that grease, no matter how lean the meat, but with the bottom of the pan lined with bread, problem solved. Thanks so much for the great recipe. I made no changes in ingredients or preparation except for lining the pan with bread.

I made this yesterday night and was very pleased with the result. I did make changes. My mom uses a similar recipe for the sauce: 1/2 c. ketchup, 6 tbsp. brown sugar, 2 tsp. dry mustard, and 1/4 tsp. nutmeg. It's awesome if you like a barbecue/sweet flavor. For my meat, I added 1/2 c. diced onion, 1/4 c. diced green pepper, 1/4 c. diced red pepper, used only 1 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice, and added an extra egg. I also added 1/4 tsp. Garlic Salt and 1/2 tsp. Pepper. It turned out fab, although I cooked it a little too long...1 hour and 20 minutes when I should have stuck to the stated cooking time. Very pleased and husband enjoyed it as well!

Best meatloaf I have ever made! Moist and delicious. No leftovers. I followed the tip of placing the bread slices in the bottem of the pan. Worked well.
