This meatloaf was good, but the sauce was too sweet and the rest just tasted ordinary. The large number of ratings led me to believe that this was going to be one of the best meatloafs ever but it just tasted like something I've thrown together in the past without a recipe and minus the really sweet sauce. I will try another recipe from this site next time.

The best meatloaf I've made. The only thing I might add next time is some worcestire sauce. Delicious!(and i'm not a big meat-eater)

Pretty tasty. Used French fried onions instead of reg. onions and bread crumbs for the bread slices. Will make again.

This was my first attempt ever at making meatloaf. It's a shame I think that meatloaf in general seems to have kind of a bad rep. It is so easy and tastes great. My family (including 3 kids) loved this recipe. Will definately be a regular meal in our household!

I first made this dish while studying abroad in Italy. While the food there was fantastic, my roommates and I were craving a bit of home. This meatloaf hit the spot. Beyond amazing. Two years later and I still get requests for the recipe. The recipe has also been a success stateside for the picky eaters in the house.

My husband and my son always asked for this dish! Its easy to prepare and doesnt take long to cook. I add a can of tomato sauce and a touch of ketchup to the recipie because my husband doesn't like it that sweet.(I always have to make extra sauce for my son) I also chop the onion smaller and tear the bread cumbs into smaller pieces. You can also add italian style bread cumbs and make it into small balls for spagetti and meatballs.

My "I hate meatloaf" husband LOVES this recipe! This is almost identical to the recipe my mother used many moons ago, but I couldn't convince him to try it. I finally just went ahead and surprised him and now he and my kids love it. We rarely have leftovers and I triple the recipe!

This was a great meatloaf recipe. Only change I made was I added some grated romano cheese to the meat. But I loved it and have made it several times since I came upon this recipe.

This is the best meatloaf recipe that I have ever made! I added ground red pepper because my family like spicy foods and omitted the beef boullion. Other than that, I followed the recipe.

Let me just say that I am not a meatloaf person, but this is delicious! My complaint with most meatloaves is that they are too dry. That is not the case with this recipe. Very moist and flavorful. I only make a slight alteration. I decrease the amount of brown sugar in the glaze by just a bit. As is, it's a little too sweet. I also double the glaze to have more to dip the meatloaf in. This is also a perfect recipe for freezing. When I make this, I make enough for 3-4 meals and divide the uncooked meatloaf mixture into freezer bags.

I turned these into mini meatloaves. It took 45 min. to get them browned. The glaze is excellent! We ate this with Tater Tot Casserole II from AR.

This meatloaf is wonderful!!!!! I have finally found one that my family loves. The only thing different that I did was use dehydrated onions instead of slicing the real ones and I doubled the glaze recipe because my family are dippers. I will definitely be fixing this again!

This is the first meatloaf I have ever made, and it came out perfect! Everyone raved. I did double the glaze and used two eggs instead of one. then I added a package of onion soup dry mix to the meat. Perfect!

I detest meatloaf but this is the best I have ever tasted...I found myself loving it! With a nice lettuce salad and a veggie casserole or potatoes this is absolutely perfect. Thanks!

This is a delicious meatloaf that my husband and I as well as my son love. My son doesn't like onions so I have to make a seperate one for him without onions. I love the glaze although the sugar could be cut down a little.
