This meatloaf is just like my mom used to make - but better! My husband requests this meatloaf every time I do a meal plan for the upcoming weeks. I use one cup of seasoned dry bread crumbs in place of the bread. Delicious!

Great recipe. I follow this recipe and occassionally add chopped green peppers and mushrooms for our personal tastes. If you want a walking heart attack, when the hour of cooking is up, cut the center of the meat loaf out like a subway sandwich(kind of a wedge shape) and fill the opening with shredded cheddar cheese and Real bacon bits. Place the center of meat back in place, add remaining ketchup glaze and bake until cheese is melted. The center will naturally fall back in place when the cheese melts, so dont force it. The only thing that would make this more coronary inducing would be to just deep fry it. Enjoy.

Love it and so easy to put together. Didn't have the beef broth granules. Left it out and it was still great.

wowwww!!! what a wonderful taste blend. My boyfriend is the hardest person to satify. He stills thinks no cooking is better than is mothers (like all guys) and I have made this twice and he LOVES this and he request this meat-loaf. The meat is juicy and the SAUCE IS TO DIE FOR. i reduced the amount of sugar just a bit, but other than that this is the best meatloaf ever.

The first time I made this meatloaf, it disappeared almost immediately -- AND THERE WERE ONLY 3 OF US. I did make some changes. I substitute 1 cup of italian breadcrumbs, add 1-2 fresh garlic cloves, and add about 1/4 - 1/3 of a cup of Worcestershire Sauce. SO DELICIOUS!!!! I serve it with a side of peas.

My children did not like the sweetness of the brown sugar (and they love sugar). So I rate this 3 stars b/c the children would not eat it. I'm not a fan of meatloaf. Was easy to prepare.

Made this last night for company and it went over well. I didn't add the beef boullion but did use 1/2 lamb - great flavor. The glaze is really good. Would like to find out how to make more of a crust around the loaf like the meatloaf at one of our favorite restaurants. Would make again!

This is a very good meatloaf that I will be making again. I prefer the stuffed meatloaf recipe from this site, but this is something a little different because of the sweetness from the topping. My husband really liked it and we will be making this one again.

My boyfriend and I loved this recipe! I really used it as a jump off and added a few extras to the meat (fresh minced garlic and pepper) and to the glaze (a dab of BBQ sauce and used mustard ) and it was a success! My boyfriend, who warned me before dinner that he isn't a Meatloaf kinda guy, asked for seconds and was looking forward to leftovers the next day! Easy to make, very tasty and lots of room to make it your own.

My picky husband even loved this! I used turkey meat and cooked it on a cookie sheet like I read in one review, which worked very well. The meat needed a little more seasoning, so I'll take the advice of other reviews next time and use the onion soup mix. Great recipe!

This is an excellent meatloaf recipe. Up until finding this one, i used an old standby recipe that was handed down to me from my mom. I only tried this because of all the rave reviews it got, and it definately is a keeper!! My husband liked this one better than my old recipe. I did make a few changes only because I did not have a few ingredients on hand... Instead of chopped onion and the bouillon granules, i used a packet of Lipton Onion soup, which I think added great flavor. I also used a cup of italian breadcrumbs instead of the cut up bread slices, but next time i will substitute oatmeal becuase i like the texture oatmeal gives meatloaf over the breadcrumbs. The sauce is rather sweet, but that is just the way we like it at our house!! Thanks for a great recipe! Two thumbs up!

This is by far the best meatloaf I have ever made. The flavor was excellent and my husband who rarely likes meatloaf loved it. I made a little extra glaze because he likes a lot. Overall this was simple and delicious.

This was such a easy and inexpensive recipe. Both my son and boyfriend loved it! Like the other reviews recommended, I used seasoned bread crumbs instead of bread slices. I will definately make this again soon.
