I am not usually a fan of meatloaf, but I made this for my husband's birthday, and now I am. My husband also liked it. It was very moist and tasty. Will be making this one again.

After reading all of the reviews, I was expecting a lot more out of the sauce. It was too sweet for my tastes. The meatloaf was great, though. Next time I think I will cut out the brown sugar for a more savory/less sweet overall flavor. I also used ground bison instead of beef, since that is what I had. It turned out really well.

My family loved this meatloaf. No changes necessary. I like my meatloaf sweet and this fit the bill! Will make again.

Loaf came out moist and overall it was good. For me I didn't care for the mustard though but everyone else liked it.

Yummy Meatloaf- my kids love this recipe. I have made it 3 times, and my husband is still surprised when he likes it, because he has never liked meatloaf. I use venison instead of ground beef- works great!

LOVE this recipe! I added my own twist & used suggestions from previous posters . .(2lbs of 80% ground beef) fine chopped the onion, 1 1/8 cup bread crumbs in place of sliced bread, Vinegar in place of Lemon juice, dashed with lil’ garlic, parsley, & Worcestershire sauce. Made green beans and roasted red potatoes as side dish. My husband can be picky-even with meatloaf- he LOVED it/suggested it would be a GREAT addition to our dinner “rotation”. Thanks for the new favorite. Veronica

It wasn't bad, but neither superb. I lowered the recipe amount, using allrecipes.com serving calculator, and then followed the recipe to a T. Really sweet, kind of dry, and lacked salt. If I make this again, I'll lower the sugar quantity, increase the salt, and cook it for less time.

THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST MEATLOAF RECIPE!! I have never found a meat loaf recipe that I liked before. I've tried everyone's "special" recipe and still never found one liked. I had two helpings the first night and even ate the left overs the next day!

This was pretty good meatloaf. We didnt have any lemon juice, so after reading reviews, I used vinegar instead. We also had no onions, so I used minced onion instead. Only thing I would do next time, is save the sauce you put on top, would have loved to have more of it!

This is a great recipe to use as a guideline. I love the tangy/sweet sauce and like that it uses bread, not packaged breadcrumbs (which I never buy). I don't use the bouillon granules. Sometimes I add either green pepper or scallions. One thing I always do is use 1 pound ground beef and 1 pound sausage, which really gives the meatloaf a fantastic flavor and texture. If you're a fan of rosemary, the addition of this herb really brings the recipe to entirely different level. My boyfriend and I love it!

My husband LOVED this. I replaced the mustard powder with a tablespoon of wholegrain mustard and cut the sugar down to a quarter of a cup. I also replaced the bread with cornflakes crumbs and included one large grated carrot and some chopped spinach. I actually found this dish moist and delicious even though I'm not usually a meatloaf fan.

I followed the recipe almost exactly as written except took 3 slices of bread out from the freezer, toasted them, then ran them through the food processor to make homemade breadcrumbs. I did add some garlic powder and still thought it was a bit bland. The glaze was perfect and the meatloaf was not soggy at all. I will make this again with the addition of more garlic powder and a bit of worcestershire. Thanks for a good base meatloaf recipe.

This recipe was really good, very moist. I followed other reviews and used bread crumbs instead of cubed bread, used vinegar in place of lemon as I had none on hand and spelnda brown sugar instead of regular. Next time I make this I will add less sugar, a little to sweet for us.

This was great meatloaf! I like that in using beef bouillon you are reducing the sodium by a TON compared to using Lipton onion soup mix (like I usually do). The only thing I would do different is make more sauce for dipping because it's so good!

I did the same as some others suggested and lowered the brown sugar to 2T and used 1C bread crumbs instead. This was an amazing recipe. If my family would let me I would make it every day. It is even great as leftovers and my family does not like leftovers! You have to try this one!
