O.K. what did I do wrong? the sugar did not coat the almonds and I did everthing that was explained. they are tasty but the sugar did not turn to anything like a syrup. I felt like i should have used water to make it a little syrupy... they are good but not what I expected.

I made these to go into a spinach salad and everyone could not stop eating them before I actually got them into the salad. Yum!

This was easy to make and when I was done the gang started eating them right away. I put them into the freezer and will pull them out for salads and to put into bowls for the holidays.

I liked the sugar spiced almonds better, but made some of these for friends who are not fond of spicy foods

Very tasty! I loved how easy it was. I might change the amount of sugar next time and do 2/3 cup or use brown sugar. I found the sugar was very clumpy and had to add water in the skillet. Maybe you just need some more water than I used. People didn't try the almonds much because they looked a little funny with the tan sugar clumped to them. But once you ate one you were addicted!
