I edited this to make ginger bread on Christmas. I sampled a small bite and it must have been good because it was gone when I came back hours later!

Delicious! I baked them for 7-8 minutes, and they came out perfectly, firm but moist. Some of the best rolled cookies I've made, very easy to work with. The recipe yielded about 18 gingerbread men.

I used instant pudding instead of ready to cook. The cookies were very easy to make, but I thought they lacked in flavor a bit (even after adding extra ginger and cinnamon)

Excellent. I don't like strong gingerbread so this was a perfect combination of flavors. My daughter and her friends LOVED them. They had fun decorating them.

Loved this recipe. I made it with the kids as cut-out gingerbread men. We made 4 large men and 12 smaller men. I would double the recipe next year. Then made them into balls and flatened them out. Drizzled with white icing. Came out great. Made about 30 cookies. Also used pumpkin pie pudding first time and butterscotch pudding the next. I liked the pumkin pie pudding better. I could not find pumpkin pie in stores after Christmas. This is my new gingerbread cookie recipe. Thanks for sharing.

I made a slew of cookies for my co-workers for christmas. This recipe was a great pick! Everyone loved them. They're great dipped in milk. Yum! Will definitely keep this recipe for next year...I might even make them sooner.

I'm not sure how this dough is supposed to work, but mine was a bit of a mess. Initially, I followed the recipe exactly. It was really dry after mixing all of the ingredients. I added about 6 tbsp of water, one at a time, until it just pulled together. Refrigerating didn't seem to help it and it was crumbly as I rolled it out. The only reason that I'm giving this 3 stars is because my 3 year old loved them. They do have a nice, mild, gingerbread flavor that kids will find appealing. I will probably make these again next year for the kids, but I'll be checking to see if someone has come up with a solution to the dryness by then. It was a lot of work to get these ingredients to become cookies.

My sister and I made this gingerbread men. They are easy to roll out if you get the dough really cold. I would make them a little thicker next time, as they were a bit too crispy. Fun to decorate! Will make this a holiday tradition.

These turned out great! My 3-year-old daughter helped with the entire process. I thought the dough was easy to work with. They tasted best when only baked for 8-9 minutes.

Sooo delicious; the second year in a row I am using this recipe. If your dough is too dry add a teaspoon of milk/water gradually while mixing until it firms up. It is best to do this before refrigerating it. YUM! I really liked the extra cloves in the recipe as well.

These are delicious when fresh baked. However I think after a few days in a tightly sealed container on the counter they tasted "cardboardy" and kind of stale. If you make them earlier than your serving date I'd suggest freezing them.
