Could be because I live in a high altitude area...who knows. but I found this recipes to be VERY dry, crumbly and hard to work with. I ended up adding a few drops of water to the dough so that I could work with it. once I got the dough workable, though it was great and baked up perfectly. After baking I found it to be lacking 'something' taste wise. This is not at all like any other gingerbread I've ever tasted. Not bad, but not the best either. Smelled heavenly while it was baking, though.
