I made this hubby and kids really really liked it. I will make it again it's a perfect after school snack. However, the ingredients for the dough don't list an egg, but in the directions it says to add an egg. Was this a typo??I used the egg in the dough, next time I will eliminate it to see what happens.

This turned out wonderfull! Looks very pretty on the table and tastes great. The only thing I would change is the amount of fruit. I will double it next time.

Very good and pretty easy. I used omitted the raisins and walnuts. For the fruit I used 2 pears, 1 peach and about 1 1/2 cups dried apricots... next time I would definitely use more fruit, maybe even double the amount! I also did not have buttermilk so I just used 1 cup milk with 1 tbsp white vinegar mixed in to it.

I made this for a brunch and it was wonderful. I made no changes to the recipe and two days later I was asked to bring something "FUN" to an evening coffee. I made it again but seeing as I had run out of pears I used apricots and that was wonderful. The ginger and the pears are a classic paring and with the apricots superb. Another favorite!
