This recipe makes what is essentially a wonderfully complex gingerbread. The cream cheese icing compliments to cake perfectly. I didn't have a 15 X 10 inch pan, so used a 9 X 13 instead. The smaller pan resulted in more a cake, rather than bars. Everyone I shared with loved the cake. I am looking forward to trying again with the correct size pan!
