With ginger in the name, there ought to have been a definite ginger flavor! This could have used about 3 times the amount of ginger called for. For all the effort, I think I'd prefer to make regular baking powder biscuits!

The cookies turn out good if you let the sit for the 3-4 minutes and knead the dough properly. I used self rising dough and left the soda out and I used 6oz of syrup instead of 4. Everybody loves these cookies.

Just made these with Maple syrup and wished I had of added more ginger - quite delicate flavor and need to be a bit more spicy for my taste. Nice biscuit though!

My first batch, I made as the recipe says and it was kind of tasteless. My second batch, I substituted boysenberry syrup for the corn syrup and that made a great tasting cookie/biscuit. I think a thin struesel drizzled on these would make them perfect. Thanks for the recipe.
