Easy to make and the taste was great. Very little substitutions, asparagus for broccoli. I will add to favorites.

Great suggestions from others on marinating the beef (soaked in Teriyaki for 1 hour before cooking) and on doubling the sauce (I would even triple the sauce). We freeze our ginger into chunks and it grates so much easier and keeps the ginger longer. I also burned the sesame seeds so I used sesame seed oil in the wok and soy bean sprouts. Turned out great but needed more cornstarch. Also used chopped cashews instead of peanuts which seemed to compliment the spicy mongolian oil I also added to the sauce.

This is an okay recipe but nothing out of the ordinary. The beef came out bland, maybe marinating it in something would have helped? Would probably not make this again.

Pretty good - I only had oyster sauce, so I'm sure it was a completely different flavor than if I'd used the plum sauce. All the same - all the family enjoyed it, and the baby had a second plate!

Mixed cornstarch with beef and deep fried. Then added it to veggie, sauce mixture for a crunchy texture (more like Calgary ginger beef). Hint for extra CRUNCHY deep fry twice - once to cook and then a second time once you're ready to mix everything together (also deep fried a chopped up green chile pepper). Yum!

We live outside 3 small Texas towns and plum sauce was just not available in any market so I had to substitute peanut sauce. I served it over brown rice for health reasons. It got rave reviews from my husband. I loved it too!

I followed the recipe. I don't like to write a review when I have made changes. I would like a little more sauce and, if I make this again, the pepper flakes and garlic would be better stir-fryed with the meat to give the meat more flavor.

Yum Yum Yum. Especially if you like ginger. It was a great combo of flavors and veggies. The sauce definitely needed to be doubled. We served it over brown rice and there was barely any sauce for the rice. Double the ingredients for the sauce and I'd give it a 5!!

It was good. But not fantastic. I really anticipated on the sauce being way tastier. It had nice flavor but it was pretty mellow. I did it just like the recipe called for...next time I may marinate the meat to help absorb the flavor more. I work in a asian restaurant and our ginger beef reciepe is awesome...I think most of my disappointment came from expecting something that was similar. It was still good, and I'll try it again, with some tweaks.

This was great becaue I was tired of the old Stir frys I had been doing for years. I gave the recipie 4 stars because i did not have some of the ingredients and thus made modifications. I added cayenne pepper instead of red pepper flakes. I also substituted cherry jam for plum sauce and I didn't add any sesame seeds. In terms of veggies i added bean sprouts. It turned out really well!

Would give 4.5 stars and will make this again for sure! Added a slew of extra veg (bok choy, kale & snow peas worked well). Doubled the sauce but kept proportions the same. I was really impressed with the sauce's mix of flavours. I was craving ginger and this totally hit the spot.

The plum sauce gave it a different taste than I'm used to. Tasted more like a sweet 'n sour sauce. The boyfriend liked it, but I wasn't thrilled.

Great recipe. Skipped out the broccoli because we had none in the fridge. Also skipped the peanuts but will try it with them next time. I would definitely recommend this recipe. Really simple to make and a has a nice spicy flavour.
