I've made this about a half-dozen times in the last few weeks, since I had some ground nutmeg to use up.
This is a great dish! I made it exactly as written, and added a decent amount of fresh-ground black pepper, to my taste. I should note that I couldn't really taste the nutmeg (my palate's not that sensitive, I think), but I'm sure it added to the overall flavor of the dish.
