These pancakes are really good. I used a package of pre-shredded potatoes and it worked great. I will definetly try again.

This recipe was great. Just make sure you drain the potatoes so the mixture is not too watery. I added 2 tbsp white sugar and some garlic for extra flavor. This was so simple and easy - perfect for a cold day.

wow. simple & easy. I used them for dinner and added garlic & parsley. I don't understand why everyone is trying to grate the potatoes & worrying about whether they'll turn brown or not. I don't put myself through all that. I just use the frozen shredded hash brown potatoes. They're raw, don't turn colors and already shredded. Saves a TON of time.

I make mine just about the same way except I don't use the baking powder and I sometimes add garlic. True and old fashioned recipe, my Mom used the same one too, so did Grandma.

Very good. I took others' advice and squeezed out the excess water from the potatoes, but other than that, I followed the recipe exactly. I served this with sour cream and a corn salsa (red onions, roasted red peppers, fresh white corn) and it was amazing.

If you put the shredded potatoes in a bowl of water, they won't turn color. There were fantastic, my family loved them. Great with wasabi flavored sour cream!

We made these for Chanukah and loved them. We followed the recipe – changing nothing. If you want traditional potato pancakes, try this recipe. **note – make certain to allow time to drain your grated potatoes.**

These turn out great. They're very plain which is how they should be. Make sure you get them really really thin so that they cook quickly. Otherwise it might take about 10 minutes per side. We served them with sour cream.

Very good latkas (or potato pancakes, depenting on who's talking). They weren't quite a 5, but still good. I'll make them again when the mood takes me. And do squeeze out as much water as possible, that is key.

These were AWESOME! These were the real deal -- REAL authentic potato pancakes! I was a bit worried about the excess liquid from the shredded potatoes, but I just drain and continued with the recipe. My potatoes were rather large, so I think next time I'll double the onions! Thank you for such a wonder (AND EASY) recipe!
