I tried this and was able to make it on my own. I used a gram cracker crust and everyone loved it. Although I suggest making a little less batter than what the recipe said because I had a lot of the batter left over. Also, it tastes GREAT served cold. I would highly recommmend this. It was amazing!

I am baking this pie again. I always take my pies to work where they are a crowd pleaser. If you like chocolate, you will love this pie. My last time around I substituted white chocolate. My friends at work raved about it.

My pie was runny, too. But the flavor was outstanding.

I followed the recipe exactly, but my pie was a runny mess! Maybe the evaporated milk should be condensed?

Fabulous! I didn't have German chocolate so I used semi-sweet and it still had a wonderful, rich flavor. I'm not sure if baking it for 45 minutes is too long, because the coconut got a little dark on top but when it was cool it set perfectly.

What an outstanding pie! I LOVED how it was so easy to throw together and just bake in the oven. I taught a pie baking class last night and tried it out on them. THEY LOVED IT!!! I was also very impressed with how pretty it was after baking and how nicely it kept it's shape after being sliced. I didn't have any german chocolate, so I just used 4 oz. of semisweet chocolate chips and I reduced the butter to 2 Tbsp. and melted them in the microwave on 50% power instead of on the stove. I also added 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips on top sprinkled with coconut and pecans. Thanks for a super recipe :o)
