My box of cake mix was a little smaller than called for in the recipe...who knew. They turned out great anyway. I followed the recipe as written. Had slightly less topping probably because of the smaller box of mix. These are really great. Will make again.

I followed the recipe except for the chocolate chips (just shaved a little dark chocolate instead), and they seemed undercooked and gooey. They taste alright, but something went wrong.

I LOVE these bars! Yup, they are very rich and very chocolatey (is that a word?) which is why we like them. I sprinkle some coconut flakes on top when adding the chocolate chips and frosting because I like a little more coconut. I never refrigerate before cutting; I simply let cool completely like I would brownies.

Yeah, this uses boxed mix and prepared icing, but it makes a reallly rich, good bar without a lot of mess or work. This was perfect for what I needed and I'm adding it to my recipe box. I've also recommended it to friends. Good Stuff!
