Really excellent. First time making them. My modifications were: no crab, didn't have any, and instead of using chicken mix stuff I used bread crumbs mixed with a dash of seasoning for grilled vegetables on each mushroom. I also garnished with a little bit of green onion as I had no red pepper. THanks for sharing this recipe. Fiancé loved it!

I have made this recipe for Xmas dinner for several years and it has always been a big hit. We aren't real big on crab meat, so I use cooked Hot Italian Sausage instead. It gives it a nice kick and works very well with this recipe! Top with little freshly grated Parmesan for a nice finish. Get extra mushrooms because the meat/cream mixture makes more stuffed mushrooms than stated in the recipe.

I made this for our Super Bowl party, and they were a hit! I prepared 30 mushrooms to use up all the mix because others had said that 12 mushrooms wasn't enough, and I still ended up with a little extra mix. I also sauteed the mushroom stems with some onion as others had suggested. Overall, it came out very tastey (the cream cheese is awesome in this dish) and I received good reviews from my guests. I will definitely make this again.

This recipe was definitely not a hit at my house. I was told that the stuffing mix definitely overpowered the crab to the point that the crab may as well not even be in the recipe, and that it tasted too much like Thanksgiving stuffing. Definitely not what I had expected.

This recipe was delicious!! I did, however, make a few modifications: I followed the advice of reviews to cut down the butter to 1 1/2 sticks butter, and then added the butter and garlic mix to the mushrooms after they came out of the oven, which made them moist and buttery, instead of dry. I would also not add the stems to the stuffing because it really does not do anything for it, and you'll end up with much more stuffing than you need. Be careful though, they can be slippery! I also added all of the seasonings after the mushrooms came out of the oven as well. Another thing I did was I did not use crab meat because my mom only likes crab alone, and she does not like anything even a little bit spicy so I omitted the red pepper as well. everyone loved them, and lots of people wanted the recipe! People kept asking for more of them, and a couple of people said they were the best mushrooms they'd ever had!

This was a great recipe! I would not recommend using the stems in the mix because you will end up with so much extra stuffing! I doubled the recipe and ended up cooking the extra mix. It was still really tasty though.

i made these tonight for the Patriots game. everyone loved them. :) i cut the recipe in half and it still came out fantastic! the only change i made was to use only enough butter to top the mushrooms. i had about a cup and a half of leftovers so i froze them.

AMAZING!!! I served these as an appetizer at Christmas and had rave reviews. Everyone loved them. I used pork sausage meat instead of the crab and used low fat cream cheese. I also sauteed the mushroom stems with some spring onions. Tons of stuffing left over, so I actually ended up stuffing over 30 stuffer mushrooms.

These are fantastic. After reading the other reviews, I sauteed mushroom stems, 1/2 cup onion, butter (1 stick) and then added the cream cheese and crab. I used real crab instead of imitation. I also sprinkledsome parmesan cheese on top. There was a lot of stuffing left over. This is a very easy delicious appetizer. Thanks for the great recipe.
