This is the recipe that I have been looking for. We love red potatoes, but there are only so many ways that they can be fixed. They were fantastic.

Pretty good, but not my favourite mashed potatoes. Not difficult to make. Thanks!

The house will smell of garlic a bit after cooking this, but I agree with other reviewers - this is the only way I make mashed potatoes now!

This was a very good recipe. The potatoes seemed a bit thick and probably need just a little more milk that the recipe calls. I would also probably add a little more salt and just a dash of pepper.

Good easy homemade potatoes. I kept the skins on about half of the potatoes and peeled the rest. Also, I liked the fact that these were not over loaded with butter and the garlic really stands out nicely!

These were good but the only change in taste, from regular mashed potatoes, for me was the parmesan, can't go wrong with cheese!

I thought these were bland. Next time I'll add more milk & butter for a creamier texture and more salt and some pepper for flavor. Gave it 3 stars for the garlic though... that was nice.

These are great! I used a teaspoon of jarred minced garlic instead of fresh. The only suggestion I could make is add milk slowly as I added the whole amount right away and it got a little bit soupy. The taste was great and I left the red skins on. Will make again - soon! :)

This is usually the way I make mashes potatoes, but usually don't use reds. I love it this way too. I use minced garlic however, (the kind from the jar) I didn't have any cloves on hand. I added them when I added sour cream. I also added a little garlic salt.

These were very tasty, although next time I'll use more garlic (maybe five cloves instead of three), because I didn't get much garlic taste. I peeled only the ugly parts off the potatoes and left the rest of the skins intact, and I liked the texture. Will definitely make many more times, but with more garlic, and maybe some herbs.

We loved this recipe! I did add an extra clove of garlic and a scoop of sour cream when I was mashing. These were wonderful and I can't wait to make them again!

Excellent! The only "change" I made was adding more garlic. My husband said these are the best mashed potatoes he's ever had! The consistency was absolutely perfect. With a little more garlic, these will rival the garlic mashed potatoes at my favorite restaurant. This one is definitely a keeper!!! (Addition: I made these again this week and used 6 large cloves of garlic. Perfect!) (Addition 2: I made the Shepherd's Pie VI recipe on this site and topped the dish with these potatoes...yum!)

I was looking for a good potato option and this was it. I would probably cut back a little on the cheese, touch stringy but very good.

SO EASY AND DELICIOUS! No need to peel your potatoes which makes this dish so easy, and boiling with the garlic really adds flavor. Now no matter what potato I am boiling I'll always throw a garlic clove or two in with it. The end result was literally the perfect mashed potato that didn't even need gravy. Highly recommend!

Good recipe overall. I like my potatoes to be a bit creamier so I added more milk than called for (almost a whole cup). I wasn't really "blown away" by the flavor like some other reviewers were - I added butter on top of mine.
