Turned out too creamy with way too much garlic. Maybe next time I will use more potatoes and less garlic

I made this at Christmas time and it was so good. Bordering on perfect. It's been buried in my recipe box and I totally forgot about it! One person said it was too much garlic for them, but you can't make everyone happy. Next time I'll make it with roasted garlic.

Delicious! Calculated for six servings, this made more than enough. I added a little sour cream and did roast the garlic. Family raved about it and some had seconds. Sure tasted restaurant style. It was fantastic with our steaks!

I absolutely love this recipe, I've made it many times, but always scaled it down quite a bit. You must be a garlic lover to enjoy this, I've reduced the amount of garlic whenever making it for guests if I don't know their garlic sensitivity.

I make these every year for Thanksgiving and they're a HUGE hit! Try roasting the garlic first for a different flavor. Delicious!

These had the best flavor of any mashed potatoes! Fantastic recipe - only I was so rushed I was wanting to boil the garlic with the potatoes and I forgot! I'm excited to make them again so I can try that!

Needs less cheese flavor, I will try next time i make them. To make a reasonable portion, I used 3 lbs of potatoes, you can cut boiling time down by 15-20 minutes.

Absolutely fantastic recipe! :) I tweaked it a bit by taking a full head of garlic, peeling it and putting it in wrapped aluminum foil with some olive oil at 375 for 35 minutes. I think roasting the garlic really made the recipe ;) I also used fresh grated parmesean cheese instead of romano, because the store by me was out of romano and it was still excellent! A few minutes in my KitchenAid mixer and voila ... HEAVEN!

I love potatoes-mashed, baked, fried, you get the idea. These were okay. As others suggested I added milk, but, they still weren't great.

Great potatoes, my boyfriend liked them better than his favorite restaurant mached potatos. Like many others I roasted the garlic before I added it to the potatos. Thanks for the great recipie!

This recipe was good but after reading all the reviews I expected much more so I felt a little disappointed. I also modified a little - I added about a 1/4 cup of milk and half the amount of butter. I also added the garlic to the boiling potatoes. Next time I will try to stick to the recipe!

MY HUSBAND DEFINITELY GIVES THIS A 5 STARE RATING- HE USUALLY ALWAYS COVERS HIS POTATOES IN GRAVY- BUT THIS TIME HE DID NOT- SAID IT WAS AWESOME WITHOUT- ONLY CHANGES: ROASTED THE GARLIC, PARMESAN INSTEAD OF ROMANO (ALL I HAD)- ADDED A DASH OF 1/2&1/2 (NEEDED THE MOISTURE)- I WOULD GIVE IT 4 STARS- I DID NOT LIKE THE OREGANO- IT WAS OVERWHELMING FOR ME- I COULD NOT TASTE THE CHEESE FOR IT- ROASTED GARLIC IS DA BOMB THOUGH!!
