This is my kind of cooking. In Seattle where we come from it would be ideal any time of year. Here in the desert (106today) I use my crockpot after browning the meat. 7 hours on low and it's done. Fantastic!

This is to die for. My variation was to add a third head of garlic (NOT for the faint of heart!) and substituted 3 cans of "Mexican Style Rotel with Lime Juice and Cilantro" for the crushed tomatoes. This is wonderful wrapped in tortillas or served over noodles or rice.

This was great! Only comment. . .add a little white pepper to it. The husband couldn't get enough; the kids thought too many tomatoes; I loved it! It takes about 10 minutes to prepare and just pop in the oven. Delicious! Thanks again.

I made this for my family, which includes 2 picky eaters, and they loved it! We think it tastes alot like Swiss steak. Leftovers taste great wrapped in a tortilla.
