Garlic Crab Artichoke Dip

"The addition of garlic mushroom soup mix gives this dip some kick! Serve a French baguette, crackers or crostini alongside this steaming dish to give your guests something to dip into it with."

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 1 (1 ounce) package garlic and mushroom soup mix
  • 1 (14 ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 (6 ounce) can crab meat, drained

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a 1-1/2 quart casserole dish, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, soup mix, artichoke hearts, cheese and crab meat. Mix well. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes. Serve immediately.

Great easy recipe, but garlic mushroom soup not easy to find. Use mushroom soup and add some freshly crushed garlic instead. I've substituted 8 ounces cream cheese for the mayonnaise and baked the dip in a hollowed out loaf of bread for a self contained hors d'oeuvre. What a hit! The hint to double the recipe right away is sooooo right! It went so fast I didn't get any!

Awesome recipe! Can't find garlic and mushroom mix so I use onion and mushroom. I have made this several times. Never any leftovers. Thanks for submitting such a yummy and easy recipe!
