Tasty. I steamed my carrots then added them to the sauteed garlic and added the spices. I used basil instead of thyme (don't really care for it). Very good basic recipe.

At first I was sceptical because of the garlic and thyme but ultimately the flavor was great. At the end I added a VERY light dusting of grated parmesan cheese, but not so much that it was really discernable. That addition turned the flavors from great to outstanding! I ate half of it before it got to the table.

I chose this recipe to use up carrots. This is a good, cheap and easy carrot recipe. I substituted regular carrots for baby carrots and used more thyme. Next time I probably will and more garlic and maybe add rosemary.

Delicious! I didn't expect tooi much from this as it seems so simple, but I was wrong! The flavour was wonderful! I made a couple minor adjustments after reading other reviews, I used dill instead of thyme as I despise thyme, when the carrots were done I cooked down the liquid to make a sort of saucy glaze and poured it over the carrots. They were a hit and I will make over and over!

Very good. Great alternative to a sweet side. Savory flavour. This would be great with roast beef, chicken or turkey. I served it with oven fries and baked scallops. Yum!

Very good. Followed directions exactly. Next time I will substitute dill weed for the dried thyme leaves. I think that will suit my taste buds. Thanks for the recipe.

I love this recipe. It is so simple and makes delicious carrots that everyone enjoys. I love these carrots with mashed potatoes. I sometimes make it with baby carrots and sometimes I cut a normal carrot into thin rounds, which I actually prefer to the baby carrots.

Easy--Quick--Delicious--Different--Inexpensive! What more can you ask for? My hubby doesn't like anything sweet with his meals, and we're both diabetic, watch our sodium intake (used only half the salt called for), and opt for extra fiber wherever we can. Presentation (color & texture variety) and nutritional value are always a consideration for us as well. The aroma builds anticipation quickly! What a home run this recipe is! I tried to stick to the recipe as best I could, but he and I both are a bit impatient when it comes to measuring. I may have cooked them on a lower heat than some of the other reviewers, because I had several other dishes going at the same time and didn't want to have to watch them all that closely. Using a slightly larger skillet makes it easier too since you can just swirl and toss the pan without having to actually stir it. My garlic cloves were enormous, cut the baby carrots in half or thirds if they were really large. I did add extra water somewhere in the process (not necessarily hot water), and was a little heavier handed with the thyme (compared with the photos posted here.) I will definitely ALWAYS use EVOO for this dish as it cranks up the flavor but doesn't overwhelm. Forgot to sprinkle the parmesan on top at the end as suggested by other posters, but I can't wait to try it next time. Definitely will try adding other vegetables too at some time. BTW, this would be a great dish to teach your kids to make too. Thanks, Chris. These are winners!
