I read the other reviews so I figured I was safe in adding a TSP of garlic salt rather than a TBSP. It was still SUPER salty and next time I won't add ANY. The original poster must have used unsalted butter or have no taste buds. I used it to make shrimp and they were edible but I would have liked them HALF as salty. Other than that it tasted really good so it was quite unfortunate. I will give it a try with no added salt at all (garlic powder instead) or unsalted butter next time for sure.

I don't have any other garlic butter recipes to compare it to, but it seemed great to me! Just a little on the salty side.

A keeper, everyone thought it was great. I definitely will make a double batch next time to always have it on hand. Thanks for the great recipe.

I make this butter in bulk for parties where I'm serving a vegetable medley. It gives the veggies a little something extra rather than just serving steamed. I roll in plastic wrap, chill, then slice rounds into steamed veggies to season. Extra's can go on garlic bread... or whatever!! Great basic!

I never knew how easy it is to make your own garlic butter. This stuff is good! The only reason I would not give it 5 stars is because as-is there is way too much salt. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing. Also don't make the mistake I did when using it after refrigerating it- either let it sit out for a while or reheat it a 50% power for 30-45 sec.

Wasn't bad, pretty much the typical garlic bread recipe but a little on the salty side so I cut down the salt by half (you can put more salt according to your own taste) and popped it in the broiler. As long as you cut down on the salt, it's delicious.

This was very good! Very garlicky but very good! I used the spread on slices on italian bread, and place it in the oven at 350 for 7 minutes, then turned the broiler on for about 2 minutes. They came out perfect! Crunchy on the edges and soft and buttery in the middle! YUMMMM!!!

This makes great garlic bread. I use margarine and then spread on store bought sub rolls which have been sliced lengthwise. I close them and freeze for easy use. Just pop in the microwave for 30-45 seconds (enough to open the split roll) and bake about 10 mins and then broil for about 3 minutes. Tasty and less expensive than Texas Toast.

Good on vegetables as well as bread. Makes canned green beans look like you labored over them.
