I tried this recipe because I wanted a tasty pasta salad that didn't have eggs & was easy to prepare. It is great! The only changes I made were: 2 bottles of Italian dressing???!! I only used 3/4 cup of dressing and it seemed plenty and coated well. I added a tad more Parmesan to taste and I thought it lacked pepper big time. Other than that, this is a keeper! I will post a picture of it shortly....enjoy!

I used whole wheat pasta sprials & only 1 bottle 16oz of low-fat Italian, and there was more than enough dressing. I left out the pepper because I didn't have one, and used some broccoli in it's place.

This was a great pasta salad. The family loved it and have asked me to bring it again. I did have to add a little more pasta to soak up the dressing and I uses a Italian cheese blend that made it excelent.

Pasta was very nice, but too much dressing. Next time I added my own & also added garlic. Yummy

This recipe calls for way too much Italian dressing! I added one 16-oz bottle and it was too much. I ended up adding about 10 more ounces of pasta, more veggies, and some ranch dressing to tame the tangy Italian dressing. Otherwise, it was good.

Great dish. I gave it only 4 stars b/c it wasn't necessarily phenomenal. I used only about 1/3 a bottle of dressing and it was PLENTY. I also skipped the onions and celery b/c I have kids.

This is a great salad! I added some red pepper and a generous sprinkle of Italian seasoning and it was a big hit! I also used less than one bottle of salad dressing, two of them would have been WAY too much!

This salad was pretty good. I left out the celery and only used one bottle of dressing. Next time I am going to shred the carrots so they are blend with the salad better. It was even better the second day!

I'm giving this perticular recipe only 4 stars not because it isn't delicious, but because I make it slightly differently. First, I use whatever pasta we have a lot of... Right now the Family Fav is "Whole Wheat" pasta, incuding some spaghetti, broken up to look like "worms". (We have boys, any questions? LOL) I use anything in the fridge that needs using; including- any fresh veggies, ham, bacon, pepperoni, cubed or shredded cheese (any cheese I use, I add at serving time, as it can become slimey). Olives in our house are a must: green or black & I use them whole (drained). Fresh onions & garlic: finely chopped & chushed, respectively, also. I leave the whole salad rather dry, using only a small amount of olive oil & red or white wine vinegar, shaken together, to keep it moist. **The rest of the family adds whatever Italian-type dressing they want at serving time. My preference is "Good Seasons- Zesty Italian" dry salad dressing mix made with balsamic vinegar & olive oil. However, I've also used fat-free Italian dressing with good results, but keep in mind that "Fat-Free" dressing absorbs/dries out quickly and should be used at serving time. Add some crumbled Feta instead of- or with the Parm. (But then again; I've never met a Feta that I don't like...) ;-) Oh yeah- I serve the peppers on the side becaucse I hate the damned things.

Very easy and delicious! I usually make pasta salad from a box, but this was SO much better. I took it to a potluck and got many compliments. I followed others' advice and used only 1 bottle of salad dressing and it was plenty. I also used red onion, which had great flavor. The only time-consuming part of making this was chopping up all the veggies, but it was definitely worth it to have something so fresh and delicious!!

I thought this recipe was very good, use some caution in selecting your dressing, as it will be the main factor in the taste of the salad. I chose one that turned out to be less than exciting, i countered that by adding some balsamic vinegar and some fresh ground black peppercorns, and some mushrooms for garnish, as well as black olives. This all combined with the origional recipe to provide a great dish that was a big hit at the party.

My modifications: I only used 1 cup of italian dressing - 2 bottles is far too much. I used white flour rotini - it was all I had on hand. I omitted the onion (my preference). I added 1/2 cup each frozen corn kernels and frozen peas, 1/2 cup of sliced black olives, and 1 cup of broccoli florets. The olives really improve the taste. Thanks for a great recipe!

Disappointed with this pasta salad. Used red pepper and 1 bottle of dressing, but still not very good. Took it to a fam reunion and someone brought another pasta salad and everyone ate that one instead.

Yummy! Made it for Easter with bunny and egg shaped pasta - the chunky shapes held up well to the veggies. I wanted to use red instead of green bell pepper and forgot to pick up either, but the salad didn't miss it. I also used Gerard's Olde Italian dressing (less than one bottle) - perfect!

I would disagree that this is more than just pasta with dressing. Yeah the ingredients are just the combination of the two but if you are looking for a easy pasta salad, this is eat. To cater to personal tastes, we added black olives and only used 3/4 a bottle of salad dressing. Will use again, though i will try with a red onion next time.
