Real delicious, easy, and forgiving of improvisations. I found that measuring is largely unnecessary - just eyeballed the amounts and it came out delicious. I used more salt, closer to 3/4 teaspoon, more basil (just threw it in by the handful) and added balsamic vinegar to taste (for me, about 1 teaspoon). Finding it tasty, but lacking the zip I expect, I squeezed in about a tablespoon of lemon juice and BAM - perfect bruschetta!

I was expecting a little more flavor, fresh basil was unavailable when I made this recipe so hopefully next time I wont have to used the dried stuff.

This was simple and delicious. Of course I added some changes because that's what I do :) But my hubby BEGGED me to make it the very next night just for him (the first night was for a dinner party). I added balsamic vinegar to the mix- it needs a bite to it. Not too much though, just to taste. I also brushed each side of the bread slices with melted butter and sprinkled with garlic powder. I added A LOT more than the called amount of fresh basil, and covered all of the pieces with fresh shaved parmesan. Looks so nice and tastes even better!

My family really loved this bruschetta! I prepared enough for a potluck contribution and for personal use. Definitely a keeper!

This was a very simple, tasty and beautiful dish. I made it as appetizers for a Christmas party last night, and the colors were so festive. I got nothing but raves. Thanks.
