Original Recipe Yield 1 - 13x9 inch cake

Ingredients

  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package Pillsbury® Chocolate Cake
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 (14 ounce) can EAGLE BRAND® Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  •
  • Chocolate Glaze:
  • 1 (1 ounce) square unsweetened or semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3/4 cup sifted confectioners' sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Preheat oven 350 degrees F. Prepare cake mix as package directs. Pour batter into well-greased and floured 10-inch bundt pan.
  2. In small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, margarine and cornstarch, until fluffy. Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk, egg and vanilla; beat until smooth. Pour evenly over cake batter.
  3. Bake 50-55 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool. Prepare Chocolate Glaze and drizzle over cake. Store leftovers covered in refrigerator.
  4. Chocolate Glaze: In 1-quart glass measure, combine chocolate and butter. Microwave on HIGH (100% power) 30 to 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in confectioner's sugar, water, and vanilla until smooth and well blended.
