I had a pork loin roast that needed a new flavor and this was it. Of course I had to modify. Instead of Fruit cocktail I used a can of Tropical Fruit. VERY good! I also doubled the wine and water and added just a little (1/2c) chicken broth to provide more sauce. It was a hit! Thank you for the great idea.

The pork chops were tender but kind of tasteless and the fruit turned to mush. It was quite sweet and I wouldn't liked more of a savory flavor.

The pork chops by themselves cooked with the seasoning and in the fruit juice was fine...but needed a sauce. Add the cornstarch, water and fruit/juice mixture together and you have a disaster. This was probably the worst thing i've tried on this site!!! Even my husband hated it and said it was definitely NOT worth the rating it got! That says a lot from a guy who ate the hockey puck his mom fed him for years! Oh well...at least I got rid of that can of fruit cocktail in my cupboard.

Had a spare can of fruit cocktail on hand so thought I would give these a try to be different. Very tasty and moist. I also added a bit more orange zest.

My family definitely wants to add this one to our recipe box. I made a lot more than just 4 chops so, had to more than double the ingredients and I added a ittle more orange zest. It was great. I served it with fruited rice and a salad with orange sections and slivered almonds and everyone enjoyed dinner.
