Absolutely delicious! I omitted the apples and added almonds as the nut. I used 1/2 cup of fat free sour cream and only 2 tables of mayo and it came out great. I also used only half an onion as one whole one would be a bit too much.

I think I made this chicken salad 4 or 5 times already. I use light mayo and add more celery, curry, grapes & I used walnuts also. It has been my go-to lunch. Even my step-kids liked it.

yummy salad. a bit chunky as opposed to creamy. grapes go bad fast so maybe use golden raisins instead? also don't burn the nuts!!

Excellent recipe! I left out the onions because my husband hates them. Would be fabulous for a luncheon or shower.

Wonderful. I spice my pecans by putting them in a skillet with a bit of Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and a dash of cayenne pepper. They're salty with a little surprise kick!

I'll add another 5 stars to this! It happened to have ingredients I had on hand on a hot summer day, so I tried it, not expecting it to be as good as it was. I had dark raisins and walnuts, so I used them instead of the goldens and toasted pecans. Otherwise I followed the recipe exactly, and I LOVED it! Next time I make it, I'll probably increase the celery and decrease the onion (personal preference), and I'll make a point of trying the toasted pecans. Thanks for this recipe - it's going into my recipe box right now!

Great flavor and not a lot of effort! Like everyone else, I played around with how much fruit and vegetables I used (I liked it heavy on the grapes and a little lighter on the onions) but it turned out wonderfully. Also great the next day, when the flavors have time to sit together. Will definitely make it again! Thanks!

I used dried cranberries instead of the raisins, and took another reviewers advice and just used the food processor. Easy and delicious for summer. Great with mini pitas.

awesome awesome recipe....I didn't have any apple so I left it out and I'm not a fan of onion so I didn't use those either, but there was still a lot of texture and flavor in the salad. I served it over a bed of spinach which worked great. Oh yea, I also used dried cranberries instead of golden raisins since that's what I had on hand. Try this recipe and don't be afraid to change it up some!

I took this to a fireworks party and it was a big hit! I made a few changes...started with a rotisserie chicken from Costco, omitted the apple, used almonds instead of pecans, used Greek yogurt in place of some of the mayo, red grapes instead of green, and amped up the curry powder. Served it with mini pita breads. YUMMY! I'll certainly use this one again.

I have tried many, many recipes on here and I have only rated those I love. This is really good! After doing a search for chicken salad & seeing the 5- star rating on thise one, I thought I would give it a try. I was not expecting it to be so good! I even went to the extent of not adding the curry until the end -- added it in a little cup on the side and realized it was delicious with it! I didn't have the raisins, so I left them out and I subbed the pecans with honey roasted almonds. It was yummy!

We made this tonight, but transformed it into a pasta salad by doubling the ingredients, and adding the whole mixture to one box of cooked medium pasta shells. I baked the chicken breasts with just a sprinkle of seasoning salt & fresh ground pepper, and this added a nice flavor. If you are going to make a pasta salad instead, be sure to use plenty of chicken. Thanks for a great recipe!

This is identical to Fruity Curry Chicken Salad on this site except one calls for onions and the other calls for green onions. They are both delicious and the curry isn't overpowering.
