Great flavor. I used only 1.5 cups plumbs and 2.5 cups of apples (without skin) and it was really moist. Plenty of sugar, I was worried since sometimes desserts in that Austria/Germany area can lack in sweetness. Thanks!

It is very tasty - I used about 3 cups of plums (very nice) and 1 cup of apple. I added about 1/2 tsp almond flavoring to the custard/ fruit level which turned out nicely. If I were to make it again, I would double up the crust part. Thanks!

for kuchen - it was perfect! nice and sweet and buttery. This recipe reminded me of my Grammy's, who happened to be German too. My Grammy, took her recipe with her when she passed as she never wrote anything down. Thanks so much for sharing this.

The filling was too sweet, and the crust too buttery and not cakey enough. None the less, you can't go wrong when baking together all such things rich and delicious. It was yummy, but needs to be perfected.

I used peach slices, strawberries, and pineapple chunks in the fruit filling. I didn't have enough ingredients to make the crumb topping. However, it was still tasty.

Never having had kuchen before, I was expecting a cobbler-esque taste. It was nothing like cobbler, nor pie, but was tasty. The boy and roommate cleaned the dish in no time. (I used three apples and a plum, but I also halved the recipe.)
